You should visit Spanish Springs more often. It has it's own flavor and it is quite as nice in it's own way as Lake Sumter Landing. If you never have to fight any crowds there, you must not have gone during the season. With the population increasing as we spread to the South, we will have three places for all of us and what fun to travel in our golf carts between the three. My favorite part of Spanish Springs is the Church on the Square.
The Church on the Square is the most surprising place. I thought it was a church-church but it is predominantly a venue for all kinds of musical groups at very reasonable prices. Harold Schwartz Foundation or fund partially funds much of the music performed there. I do not mean to downplay the church services held there at noon on Sunday but it was made to look like the church that is always a part of a Spanish Village and is used for music as it's primary function. I lived here for two years thinking it was all religious music and it is not.
I HOPE I have not offended anyone with this explanation. I am not against churches of any kind.
