I totally disagree with your analogy.
Enforcing the laws of the US after your have taken a sworn oath to do so is the CORE of the character of the candidate. I would throw out the current landlord and tell the new one I will not pay him one red cent if he does not intend to do anything different than the last one.
I will not give Romney support of any kind. Those of you who vote for him deserve what you get.. another big spending military industrial complex budget busting flip flopping politician.
