bobdel, if you're going to have a home watch person look in on your house weekly, for example, speak with a prospective insurance provider about it. We did when we got our HO insurance and it did address the vacancy concern.
Probably best to not BS your way through the home watch person dealie-o with the insurance provider - ours wanted a name and contact info for our home watch person for potential follow-up/verification.
