Take the paper filter out of the shop vac. Remove trap. Pour about a 1/4 cup of baking soda in drain, followed by a 2 liter bottle of "warm" pepsi. ( I like pepsi over coke, think it has more fizz). Let stand about 10 minutes. Seal vac hose with duct tape around pipe. Turn vac on & off for a minute at a time. Do this about 3 times. Re-install trap, run hot water. Go around and run a little water in all traps to seal out sewer gas. Use a powerful shop vac.
