What kind of demographic studies and marketing/advertising (besides the TV web site) does TV do in the outside world? Does TV still advertise on the Golf Channel? I know word of mouth probably has done a lot to spread the news about TV; that is how I heard about TV. I would love to be a fly on the wall in TV's marketing/advertising/sales forecasting meetings.

Like any big corporation, the developer has lots of smart people working in marketing and strategic planning, and uses all the available demographic science to forcast future development. Having said that, it is an inexact science - for example no one could accurately predict the mortgage crisis, and how it would affect sales. The Morse companies do a better job than most at forseeing the future and keeping ahead of trends, resulting in FAR better sales and value-holding than almost anywhere else in America, and especially in Florida through the housing collapse. As far as I know, TV is no longer advertised on the Golf Channel, though I could be wrong. I watch golf channel a lot and have not seen an ad in a couple years, though that is where I first learned of TV. It seems they have figured out how to market, mostly by word of mouth, and through their in-house marketing, avoiding expensive media buys.
