Thanks to all for your thoughts. I still have some time with the warranty and
don't want to have to deal with a ticked off Dealer until it runs out. Of course I would never go back to them since the Manager was not too thoughtful, (e.g. never heard the word I'm sorry) and as they say had an attitude. I thought there was some real humor in his position that he and the manufacturer were the "victims" while I had to put up with the alleged lemon and lack of use while it was continuing to be repaired. Things I learned from the experience:
1. If it is a "new" model just coming out..Run don't walk away from it.
2. Be sure to talk to the "Manager". If he/she has an attitude as you are
buying go somewhere else as that is who you will be dealing with if problems.
3. If you want that kind of Cart talk to multiple Dealers and pick the one that seems "customer" friendly.
4. Check with Internet for ratings of carts if there is such a thing.
5. Maybe talk to a Pro at an outside course/club and see what they would
recommend. (Note: I spoke to the Pro at the Club I had been a member of
prior to moving to The Villages. The cart I chose was not one of his favorites.) Will listen better in the future.
6. If buying a used cart do some real research to see if you can figure why
it is being "resold"?
7. If you have problems right after you bought the cart be strong with the
dealer in trying to determine what is really going on.
IF ANYONE ELSE HAS SOME SUGGESTING PLEASE SEND THEM SO WE CAN
BETTER UNDERSTAND WHAT WE ARE BUYING???
