I finally said I would have to penalize the waitress & I didn't want to do that. He sighed, made a face & the wine was changed. Our friends, however, didn't get an adjustment. I will never go back there as long as he is the manager.....the food was good though!

You may want to consider if the restaurant manager was terrible or the waitress mistaken . It may be that the manager believed that four at the outside tables were more accomodating and comfortable for people than five. Also while I don't eat out much restaurants normally only make available house wines for their happy hours. However the really beneficial outcome for you and your guests is that you enjoyed the food and around here that indeed is a rarity
