Wow! I've never heard that one before. If it happened to me I'd feel this way about it. I would feel it was neither the Dr's or my fault. The sudden involuntary movement of the tongue is much faster than a human can normally react to. As such there was a better chance than not that it was strictly an unavoidable accident. I'd also have to say similarly about the assistant. They also have their routine duties as an assistant that could have taken their attention away at the moment the contact occurred, and that could have played into what unfortunately happened.

Having said that, I also have to mention that this didn't actually happen to me, and as such my opinion is no more that food for thought. If it did happen to me, who knows... I could very well be singing another tune, even if I'm not a canary. BTW, I never before heard of a canary going to a dentist before either! The Villages Florida
