Reality check: JoePa and other officials knew that the campus PR... oops, I mean campus police, did nothing about the report and that Sandusky was allowed continued access to children. If he and other officials had been more concerned about preventing child rape than they were about the football program, they would not have been satisfied with the non-action of the campus rug sweepers... oops, I mean campus police.

This is the same type of corporate/institutional image protecting thinking that you see in the military with the sexual assaults of women service people being swept under the rug by forcing the women sexual assault victims to see psychiatrists. It destroys their credibility while protecting the image of the military branch that has this problem of sexual assault of mainly females by their fellow soldiers/sailors/marines, etc.
