It does seem that ponds cause a lot of the problems. But perhaps it is the water acquifiers and not ponds. I think that the sink hole, or castrophobic ground movement, in Sunset Pointe was in the front yard. We very much enjoy backing on a pond, watching the birds, and having the frogs sing us to sleep at night. I think that developing a sink hole is probably as likely as losing your home to a tornado or to a lightening fire. Acts of God.
