What's even more aggravating (too mild a description for me) is that they're all spending even faster than they're figuring out how to get the revenues to pay for their spending. Congress is like the guy who got laid off, but keeps borrowing more and more on his credit cards to get all the stuff he wants.

But I gotta say again--this is happening on Obama's watch, but for half the time the Democrats had control and the Republicans had the checkbook for the other half of his administration. The POTUS signs 'em, but he can't pass a single spending bill.
I actually post this to MAYBE correct your assumption but first with your knowledge of the finances, etc pehaps you can tell me if I am misreading this from the Senate Appropriation committee...

"
Fiscal Year 2011 Discretionary Spending: $19.918 billion
Fiscal Year 2012 House Spending: $17.081 billion

Fiscal Year 2012 Senate Spending:
Security: $1.750 billion*
Non-Security: $18.030 billion
Total: $19.780 billion
*Includes PL 480 and McGovern-Dole Food for Education Program."

That press release indicates to me, however feeble, that the Dem controlled Senate outspent the Republican controlled house.

But open to corrections as it makes no nevermind...spending is nuts.
