Just some FYI stuff:
I didn't hear or read anything about this until earlier today. A contract dispute between the two companies has resulted in DirecTV dropping all the channels they source through Viacom.

Many of the dropped channels are probably no big deal to most of us. But note that DirecTV has opened up their Encore channels to all subscribers to help 'ease the pain' (my words!
) through the end of the month.
