I watch these commercials on TV that makes it look like if I have an iPad or (inset device here), I can sit and watch my favorite program, sport game, etc live whenever I want and whereever I want (airport, meeting, etc).

When I did a Google on this, it seems like this is a lie or at least deceptive advertising. According to what I read, I have to have a contract with a service provider (DirectV, Xfinity, etc) to take advantage of this service AND I have to have the necessary contracted service (All NFL games, etc) to get the program. Also after checking out some of these services they are limited in what they deliver - which is no live programming on the regular channels. You only get the reruns.

Can anyone enlighten me in this?
