Default Cutting back the bloom on Crepe Myrtles

My trees are too mature and too big to reach, but if you have small trees, take the dead bloom and snip it off from the branch. In another two to three months it will make buds and bloom for you again. You can keep doing this all year until the fall when it shuts down for the winter.

The "berries" are the seeds of the Crepe Myrtle and the birds just love them, and any that are left on will drop off during the winter months.
