Default Clearance Pricing @ Sam's Club
I found this on another forum that I read and though I would pass it along. I do not have a Sam's Club membership so I cannot verify this.

Anytime you see a price at Sam's ending $.81 (81 cents) it indicates this item is being clearanced, usually at or below Sam's cost.
