I searched Obama's speeches to find any reference he made to the Fort Hood shootings as "work place violence". Would you please provide me with a reputable source for your statement? It seems clear that you are indicating that Obama said this from your strong emphasis that "OBAMA declared"

If in fact Obama said that, and I doubt HE said it, then it was foolish. I suppose it would be technically true that people who are killed on their job site are victims of work place violence.. people shot by disgruntled former employees come to mind, but the Ft Hood killings don't fit that situation.
