Phelps has been in the olympics since he was 15 years old. That's a long time.
Young people are wont to make a mistake. I think Ryan Lochted out trained him for this event. there are other events that he will compete in.
I would never call a person a loser when he had accomplished so much.
I hope he does well going forward. Go USA.
