We have all worked long and hard to purchase our homes in TV and enjoy our retirement. One of the very best things about owning in TV is the fact that every person is on equal footing. The amenities apply to one and all, no matter our backgrounds, or where we hail from, or what we did before we got there. As TV grows there will be more people with more ideas and different ways of living. But in retirement we all strive to be happy and enjoy life, and isn't that the whole point? The forum is a wonderful way for us newbies to garner information and learn about what goes on in TV. I am so happy to have "met" some of you through your posts and truly hope to meet you all in person at some point. I probably am getting myself in trouble for this post, but I sure hope not! I am the consummate positive thinker and feel pretty lucky for my good fortune to be able to live (shortly) in The Villages! And to have you all as neighbors! Nuff said
Hotrodgirl, this is my first post and you have hit the nail on the head! I have read a lot of them and have had my jaw drop at some of the negative posts, from landscaping to pool music. You have stated it very well. I live in the new section below 466a, and after reading some of these negative posts I am almost wishing I lived somewhere else. One thing I know for sure is that I will NEVER post anything that can be taken out of context. You are so right that we have all worked hard to be where we are and we should all be considerate of each other, no matter what the issue is....most of us have had to put up with a lot of BS in our jobs and we shouldn't have to put up with it in retirement. So if someone posts a comment you don't agree with don't nail them to the cross, look at it from their perspective and just be considerate of each other. Ok, I didn't mean to go on, but that's what happens after a glass of wine
