Reagarding Dr Duke..I would be suprised if you see Dr Duke himself the first visit. You most likely will see his PA...who is good but its not Dr Duke. If after seeing the PA you are ready for surgery, Duke will meet with you in his office. Just be forewarned!! My story gets better!
I have one rub with DR Duke...I had miniscus surgery and well lets just say this one turned out different than one I had on the other knee up north. After 2-3 post visits seeing the PA each time I asked to see Dr Duke. IN close to one year of followups..you know I never again saw Duke even though the office staff specifically stated in my appointment that I was to see him.
In my opinion, Dr Duke is primarily focused on knee replacement and only knee replacement. I was very disappointed when I never saw him for some followup where I did not think everything was going as I thought it should be. I know every surgery is different and I may had had more arthritisis (sp) in this knee than in my other other knee...all I know my pickelball days ended with this surgery...and I never saw Duke!!!!
I would be curious to hear how it works out for you. Best of luck!
