However, if we decide to have a home built, can anyone give me a rough estimate as to how long it would take to complete? I am speaking of a frame house - if you also have an idea about a concrete block house I would appreciate it.

Starting to think of all the "what ifs" that go with this possible relocation.

Thanks for all your help.

C Ya soon . . .
We went through the same process recently...picked/reserved a lot...met with the design team...and when we were done with design they gave us a closing date of 90 days from that date. I was skeptical they could build and deliver the house that quickly so I asked what their track record was at delivering on time. They said they've ALWAYS done business the same way (giving closing dates when you sign the documents) and that they have NEVER missed a closing date. Our home was completed and ready two weeks early!

Ours was a large concrete block house but I don't think it makes a difference. In the current sales climate here (sales are brisk) the pacing event is how long it takes to get an appointment with the design team...that could easily be longer than the 90 days required to build your house. Also, I believe that currently they are only doing design/build for designer/premier homes and all other homes they are just building as spec houses as fast as they can since demand exceeds supply.
