Actually they are not that old. Well compared to our Noritake China we bought say just over 39 years ago. Any way the china dinner plate is maybe an 1/8 in. smaller than our everyday.
Are you saying that people eat smaller portions now and they could use smaller plates! We've both been dieting but I don't think my wife is ready to give up her plates..When I told her about the issue (about the plates not fitting in the cabinets) a few choice Brooklyn eplicatives went flying!
My wife is very sweet but this kind of riled her up. We'll work it out...
