Not that that's a bad thing, it's always good to be causious of any service. We should all learn something from the OP's experience, when renting anything, from anybody, take pictures, read the fine print, ask tons of questions, and document any problems you have.

Good advice. I'm sure that the villages 4rent and TVHTPM are not ALL good and not ALL bad. It's good to keep on your toes no matter who you rent through.
