OBVIOUSLY, you are not aware of some facts, chiefly that had they been allowed to go bankrupt, the chaos you describe would not happen. They would have been restructered as companies do all the time, BUT it would not have cost you and me millions of dollars AND the union would not have such tight control as they move on.

The stuff you are spreading is common knowledge thus I am wondering your sources of inormation.

The debate was always about bankruptcy or bailout....in neither case were "all those people should have lost their jobs, another american industry should collapse." THAT scenario that you paint with absolutely no validity is the constant shrill cry of the left on this issue.

The debate was bankruptcy, which many many large companies have gone through or Federal government getting involved...the debate was simply that..nothing more and you can attempt to make it something it is not, but will not change FACTS. You are now, as a taxpayer, losing a lot of money each year on the stock you bought at inflated prices and are never going to get it back.

This nothing but a study in do we want the Federal government to own these mismanaged companies, or allow them to use the laws that have been in place for a long time to restructure and get right !!!

PLEASE at lease deal with facts

PS....does it not bother those who say things like this that they are not aware of the different solutions that were available. That the difference in those solutions was whether the Federal Government got involved and made it easy for the unions, OR allow GM to do what so many others have done with bankruptcy ? Does it not bother anyone that a lot of people have these INCORRECT assumptions in their mind and instead of looking at options, immediately fly off a post mentioning Bain ? I suppose not...but it does make Obama a great campaigner....not truthful, but a great campaigner...he has convinced people of things that are simply made up. Are polls and winning the most important thing ? Is an honest dialogue of issues not something people should aspire to ?
