Very funny Rubicon. But seriously the reason people don't wear a helmet or have seat belts in their golf cart is the same reason Motorcycle riders don't want to wear helmets!
However, I hope my remarks in no way belittles the seriousness of this horrible accident. My prayers go out to both families.
