It does not sound as though you are considering a re-sale home. To me, they are the best deal for several reasons. 1. You can negotiate price with the seller. 2. Bond will certainly be lower and may be paid off. Bond on a new home is between $23,000 and $50,000. It makes a big difference on your annual property tax payment. 3. You see what the final product looks like and do not have to guess what is next to you. 4. No construction mess around you. 5. Mature landscaping. 6. Many re-sales have the options you would have wanted and you do not have to purchase extra. 7. Most re-sales come with a 1 year warranty on everything.
Check with BOTH a Villages Property agent and MLS agent like ReMax or Realty Executives as neither can show each other's property listings.
