That's what we thought, so my neighbor and I headed up to Palmer for a 12:28 tee time at Laurel Valley. I couldn't believe it, just a twosome, no one else signed up to play. Things were a little slow since we were behind a foursome. It was hot but otherwise nice until about the 8th hole when the sky started getting a little dark. We finished the 9th hole about 2:30 and were headed over to Riley for the back nine.
It was getting much darker and as we rounded the club house the thunder started getting closer. The last three times out we've been caught in the rain, twice at Bonifay but we finished and before that at Glenview we got a rain check for the back nine. Today was no different, I said to my neighbor why don't we get a rain check.
As soon as we pulled out of the club house lot and headed down Buena Vista it started to pour the worse I've seen here in a year. We didn't even stop to put the sides down. Going down Baileys Trail and then St. Charles in the cart lane every car that passed us made it seem like we were at the water park. Finally got home about 3:00 and I never saw my cart so wet. It was still wet at 6:00 when I started to dry it off. Just another day at the golf course in TV's.
