That is one of the arguments against horse slaughter. That horses have partnered with us, are our companions, are very intelligent, bring us sport, have carried our mail, our wounded and our warriors, have pulled our plows, allowed us to migrate and settle this country, are highly trained and are our loyal companion. How do we then send them off to a slaughter house to be served up for a "gourmet meal" to someone in another country. If you don't want to see that happen to our American horses, call your senators and congressman and tell them you want them to cosponsor S1176 and HR2966 a bill to prevent the sale and transport of horses for purposes of slaughter for human consumption.
