Default New Music

I firmly believe that being an "active adult" is being open to the new. The Villages work hard at giving residents a chance to challenge their bodies. TOTV should offer opportunities, for willing participants, to challenge their hearts and minds.

Steve Reich along with Phillip Glass pioneered "minimal music." This approach uses repeated patterns which slowly shift and change creating an emerging/hypnotic environment.

Radiohead is a band from Oxford. I kid folks that they are the answer to the musical question...what do you get when you give a bunch of over-educated talented kids instruments. They make seriously hard music...

The link attached is Weird Fishes/Arpeggi. This is a construction very informed by Reich's and Glass' work. It is challenging and lovely and will keep your heart and ears open to the new. Yeah, it's hard...but, also pretty.
