This reminds me of a TV we bought once. I think it was a Zenith. The TV was only a few weeks old when it stopped working. We called the store, unplugged the TV and watched another while we waited a few days for them to come over. Once the repairman got there he plugged the TV in and (of course!) it worked. He then told me that this particular model had a problem with the module. I told him to replace it and he told me he couldn't because the TV was working and the manufacturer had a rule about it..if it wasn't broke he couldn't fix it. He said to call him next time it happened..the only problem was, the next time it happened the warranty had run out and they wouldn't touch it.
