I recently bought 2 pounds of fresh figs at Publix because they had a sale: Buy one get one free! Ha! Six dollars a pound and you get one free. Oh well, that's another story.

I am enjoying them at breakfast by adding them to a small bowl of chopped fruit. Half a banana, peach, grapefruit etc.. And add a couple of figs cut up in bite size pieces. Figs can be eaten just the way they are.

If you get a recipe, the chances are it will call for something that will detract from the natual healthfulness of figs. Although, I can't see why anyone would want to add sugar because they are already sweet enough.
