The surface is a textured cement with polymer added, then hand carved into whatever pattern you might want. It is then painted to colors that coordinate with your house and covered with a sealer. We think it is much nicer than paint and lacks the cost and drawbacks of pavers. We got the price down to $3.15 by negotiating together so the company could save money. Before we purchased we found a few negative comments about the company, but they have done hundreds of drives with only a few complaints.
