I'm also a member of the "Love-my-Nexus-7" club. I enjoy books, crosswords, and assorted word, card, and strategy games on it. I find it very responsive. Also it's light weight and convenient to carry in a purse for use while waiting for class to start and/or other appointments.

After reading the Daily Sun and enjoying a cup of coffee on the lanai in the A.M. , I use it to go online and check email and favorite websites.

I would have purchased the 8 GB version but when I bought mine they were hard to find in any size; I didn't quibble when I found one locally and it was 16 GB. No movies or music on mine so I still have 12.3 GB available.

BBQMan mentioned the Kindle Fire 7" HD: Here's a link to a very timely article comparing it with the Nexus 7.
