I am a "snowflake" and travel frequently from Swimdawg North to Swimdawg South. I am VERY familiar with both services and I will definitely give my vote to
Village Airport Van. I used The Villages Shuttle Transportation many times....and it was difficult to get a ride to and from Lake Sumter Landing to get the shuttle. They did have a taxi service which transported from/to my home.......but it was a pain! With Village Airport Van, they pick you up at the airport.......take you to your home....and there is no "middle man".....(and visa versa when returning to the airport). Their airport location is directly beneath Southwest/Jet Blue Baggage Claim whereas TV Shuttle is way down the other end of the terminal. I rarely had to wait for the van using Village Airport Van.......just a quick call after I had my luggage and they were there. With TV Shuttle Transport, I would sometimes have to wait well over an hour at the airport for the shuttle to arrive.
I admit that I had issues with Village Airport Van in the beginning but Dan, the owner, has gone the extra mile to make sure that his service is the best. He has hired wonderful drivers and bought nice new vans. His vans are clean and drivers are pleasant. I would highly recommend his service.
