Bill, I have had them outside my house in abundance this summer for the first time in the 4 years I've lived here. Thankfully, never found them inside. My exterminator looked at them and said they are not palmetto's, that's what I thought they were, but he said they were a kinda beetle?? Not sure this is what you have seen but I do think my wonderful exterminator has kept them down to a minimum and they have not come into the house... I would recommend getting a professional pest control company to spray around your house, the lawn and inside the house also. Good Luck!!
