I don't either but it doesn't seriously bother me when an owner permits their dog to walk partially or the entire length of my property on the grass. This does happen every day, several times a day, but I am thankful that I haven't seen a single incident where they (the owner, not the dog) failed to bag it to go! That includes two neighbors lawns that I can see from my den where we spend most of our time.
However, there is one woman and doggie that passes by every day that grates me a bit because she's let her little darln' walk the entire length of our lawn and take it's dump on the same spot. This has happened at least a couple of time that I've noticed, possibly more, and I can look out at that spot as I type this message and see that the spot I'm talkn' about is browner that the rest of the lawn.
C'est La Vie!
Having said this, I still wouldn't hesitate to scratch their backs or pat their little heads any chance I get!
p.s. I forgot to mention that there is a good stretch of grassy Villages property just one property length away where the dogs could do their business without imposing on any of our residential properties. I guess it's not as much fun for the owners to let them go there, even if they do walk right by it.
