I had heard that people in TV worked hard all their lives, like I have, and now want to enjoy themselves, as I do, and are generally positive people and don't blow up over ever perceived slight or inconvenience. Am I being too Pollyannish?
You are not being Pollyannish, you're just ready to retire...
The people in TV are wonderful individuals, but there are some who have differing attitudes about things and situations....happens all the time when you bring people with background differences and views, together .... not a problem unless one makes it a problem. We all learn from others around us and it's best to try and find the special glow each one has...we all have good points and for some, it's easy to spot them in others.

People who have lived here for a while may see things in a different light than someone who is new to the community. It's a great place, it represents the results of years and years of hard work, saving, and now, freedom and time to enjoy. Initially you get busy with so many things, there's just so much to do, but after a while, you become selective about what gives you joy and while you may enjoy doing so many things, the day is only so long...

There are some things that have irked people, and even though they are now living what is their dream, they may still be irked. Just because they live in a beautiful, resort community doesn't mean they aren't bothered by things. You'll find that there are a number of things that can start discussions and our 4 legged friends is one of those topics. The Villages is a community, not a utopia, and it and its residents still have to deal with negativity every once in a while....but only every once in a while. It a beautiful place, filled with wonderful people and I know you're going to enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
