He was good in
Argo. Doubt if real CIA agents show a lot of range of emotions especially if they go out into the field. If you have a wooden actor find a wooden character to put him or her in.
Talking about spies, Claire Danes plays a fictional CIA field agent Carrie Mathison in
Homeland. Claire Danes has an extremely wide ability to portray the depression, elation, fear, anger, excitement felt by her character. Then again she plays someone with a bi-polar disorder.
