I am currently building a Lantana and have chosen tile for the entry/bath/kitchen, but hardwood in the living aeas. I was in a number of homes with all tile and the wood had a warmer feel to me. Also, I did not like the echo I was hearing in some (not all) of the tiled homes. However, area rugs could help with that. I have wood floors now, have 2 dogs, almost no scratches. I have their nails ground, which keeps them a bit smoother! Good luck with your decision!
