Unfortunately, they have a policy that they are not responsible for anything that is moving that comes into contact with the door. We explained that that would hold true if someone backed into the garage door inadvertently but, in this case, it was their moving object that was at fault. They have offered to replace the metal but we would need to pay for it. Ridiculous.
So the moral of the story: If you see the that the garage door is going on its own, call the company ...actually call warranty immediately. Get it handled before you have a larger problem. |
