You definitely made a good choice in a mate. He sounds like a "keeper".
It's not the material possessions at all........they can be lost in an instant.
It's the thoughts and memories such as you describe above that are priceless and precious.
So, listen up men.......no last minute "bling" or gift will ever compare to simple thoughts which are heartfelt.
