Any satellite-based signal will get affected by storms that are between your antenna and the satellite itself. Thus Dish Network would be impacted as well. Tons of current threads mention that as a concern. The storms don't seem to bother the SD channels - those threads mention the workaround for that.
Other than that, nothing else I can recall really stands out as being an across-the-board issue for many regarding DirecTV.
