We had wallpaper removed in our last house before we sold it. It was the kitchen combination dining room and a large bath room. We were given a quote of $600. We thought that was resonable because the area was very large. It took three people 3 days to get it all down, to patch, sand and paint everything. I think the job was much more difficult than they estimated it to be. I felt guilty watching them work so hard. They were frustrated and I could see the finishing job wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. There were areas where they left roughness and areas with some old paste they didn't sand and they painted over it. I was just glad it was done and to put the house on the market. I guess the person who wallpapered it to begin with (me) didn't prepare the walls properly before putting on the paper.
