Wow! Now that's a good question? I would guess that your only alternative would be to purchase private insurance. I've never had to do this (thankfully) but have heard that it is expensive. My suggestion would be to do a google search for private health insurance companies. I just did one and came up with Cigna Health Insurance which I formerly had through my employer when I was a working stiff. I think you can also get it through AARP (American Assn of Retired Persons). My guess would be that any major company would be willing to insure you for a price and there may not be a huge difference between them. Most of them you can apply for a quote on-line.
