My Chiropractor has recommened that I go to a pain managent place to get an epidural (steroids) to get relief from a buldging disc in my lower back. Does anyone have any imput regarding this. PS I am aware of the recent problem with tainted meds causing meningitis, but have been assured that it can still be done safely. Thanks in advance. DGx2
I had two epidurals this past spring for by back. They gave me some relief, but I ultimately had to have back surgery. My disc was hernieted and the part that bulged out had prolapsed or broken off pinching my sciatic nerve. A neurosurgeon removed the broken piece in July and my sciatic problem has been much better. However, I am still having lower back pain and have an appointment with the neurosurgeon next week. I actually called the pain center to get an epidural but they wanted me to see the surgeon first. Lower back pain is not fun!
