I get a "kick" out of the "it is so hot in Florida in the summertime that we don't go anywhere after noon" comments. I understand some people's distaste for the heat, and am not discounting their feelings. However, I have lived in Missouri most of my life and can tell you it gets just as hot, or hotter, here than in Florida in the summer, and I continue to work and play outside virtually every day. This summer was particularly hot and dry here and I compared our temps with those in TV almost every day, and without claiming scientific analysis, our temps were CONSISTENTLY HIGHER, than those in TV. And as for humidity --- we will see your 80% and raise you 90% on a frequent basis. The heat may be slightly more consistent, and last for a somewhat longer period of time, but our extremes are at least equal to, if not greater than yours. We had something like 25 days in a row in July with high temps over 95, and more than 20 days over 100 in the summer - I never saw a single day in TV with temps of 100.
Again, the heat does not bother me and does not keep me from doing anything I want, though sometimes I go through 3 or more shirts in a day! in summary, summer heat would definitely NOT be a concern for me in considering a full-time move to TV.
