Tastes have changed, you don't see knick-knacks and stuff all over the place as much.
What seems to be worth money is not the stuff that was "collected", that was preserved. What's worth money is the stuff we actually used, it got broken and thrown out whenever we moved-that's what is hard to find.
Our old toys that we actually played with are sometimes worth money because they're gone.
