It sounds like the noise that the microwave makes when the "food is ready". Depending on where we stand in the kitchen the noise seems to move around from one side to the other. I believe this is because the volume is not consistent from beep to beep. So to find out what was making this noise I unplugged various stuff in the kitchen (except for the refrigerator and oven), I opened all the cabinets to see whether I could hear something in each one, opened up all the drawers to see what might be causing this sound. I thought it might be an old watch in the kitchen but that wasn't it. I don't know what else to do and am hoping that someone on this board may have a suggestion or has been thru this same thing. However, to be honest, I am not optimistic.
