I understand that. I was told by a dealer. Than define appropriately affiliated. It is similar to GM. Ford Retirees can get for friends, not family, an X plan number , not A, not D. The purpose is to be able to refer people to buy a Ford, like GM. The family pin is a different process too. The discount is like a supplier discount and one can still use all incentives. I have referred many others in the past. The employee/ retiree gets nothing but for the person and company it is a win/win. They can get one pin per month. No hassling over prices..hand the dealer the printed pin ticket, include your applicable incentives, and that's the deal.
If I am missing something, or defining "affiliated", please let me know. After 35 years with GM, it hasn't changed much.
