A reply! At last!
You're so right...the technology behind the gaming is incredible and the diversity offers something for almost anybody. It can be such a social experience, especially for keeping in touch with friends and family who might otherwise be out-of-touch except for maybe an occasional phone call or so. Word games, puzzle games, music games, the more classic action games...so much to pick from.
I believe many from our generation dismiss these games as belonging exclusively to the younger folks. But there is a lot to be enjoyed by the kid in all of us. There is a group for almost every activity known to man in TV...I've surprised there is none for video/internet gaming (not of the gambling sort...heheh).
