Well since we don't have the spa...only the pool, it is a little confusing. Also, they did leave a "manual" but they say to refer to a separate card which gives the seconds to hold in an off position to get it to perform different programs. There are 4 or 5 different possibilities which say leave it off for 1 to 2 versus 3-5 seconds versus 6-9, etc. None of the "seconds" work. It does the same thing each time. There is a reason why I don't do mechanical things...because I CAN'T.
